The body of the Panasonic EW 1211 irrigator is made of high-quality plastic. There is a water container inside. The volume of this irrigator is 135 ml. Its dimensions are small, and therefore it will not be difficult to find a place for it in the bathroom.

Is it convenient to use?

Judging by consumer reviews, the Panasonic EW 1211 is very easy to use. In terms of ease of use, this irrigator is inferior to stationary models only in terms of the volume of water poured. Unfortunately, his tank is not very large. In the process of brushing teeth and mouth, the owner sometimes has to add water several times.

Another disadvantage of the device in comparison with stationary models is its weight. The design of the Panasonic EW 1211 includes, among other things, a battery. Stationary models do not have such an addition, and therefore they weigh less.

The main advantage of the device in comparison with stationary models is, of course, its mobility. Even in an apartment, such a device is often convenient to use. After all, not all bathrooms have 220 V sockets.

Reviews

Oksana, 25 years old

I’ve been thinking about buying an irrigator for six months. I asked friends for opinions about certain models, read reviews on the Internet, and asked questions to consultants in stores. After comparing the pros and cons of different companies, I came to the conclusion that the Panasonic EW1211 is the best option. It's portable, which is important to me because I often travel for business. The device is also convenient to hold and use. And the appearance of the case looks very stylish and fashionable! Of course, there are cheaper models, but my opinion is that you have to pay for quality!

Olga, 32 years old

I have braces on my teeth, so the issue of hygiene is significant for me. Even before installing braces, I thought about how I would keep my mouth clean. After weighing all the pros and cons, I bought a Panasonic irrigator, model EW1211. I am delighted! The device is small but powerful. It removes plaque perfectly and cleans braces well. Every day my teeth are in such a condition as if I had just had professional hygiene done.

Ivan, 30 years old

I monitor my health very closely, when I saw an unknown device in a friend’s bathroom and inquired about its purpose. He told me what the irrigator is for. I decided to buy myself exactly the same device. This is the Panasonic EW1211 model. The device is imported, made in a reliable company. I've been using the device for five months now, and I'm very pleased. Works great, never had a problem. I like that the irrigator is wireless, it is very convenient. It charges in about 8 hours, and the charge lasts for one and a half to two weeks. It washes away plaque and food debris perfectly, while also massaging the gums.

Equipment

In addition to the charger, this irrigator, as already mentioned, comes with two attachments. Changing them does not have any effect on the functionality of the device. They have exactly the same shape and design. They are necessary so that two family members can use the irrigator.

irrigator panasonic dentacare ew 1211

The attachments, as well as the body of the device, are made of high-quality plastic. Each of them has rings of different colors. They are necessary so that family members do not confuse their attachments. One of the rings is usually colored blue, and the other red.

The device itself comes in a white plastic case with bright blue overlays. The manufacturer also produces other color variations of this device. But they are practically never found on the domestic market.

Nozzles

The package includes only 2 classic attachments. They allow you to efficiently remove dirt and plaque from interdental spaces and orthodontic products. Each of them is equipped with a cone-shaped elastic tip. This form prevents periodontal damage upon contact.

The nozzles can be used simultaneously by 2 family members, or the second one will be a replacement for the outdated first one. For use by all family members, you will have to purchase additional attachments.

It is recommended to replace the old nozzle with a new one every six months.

Nozzles from this model can be used on EW-DJ40 or EW-DJ10 irrigators.

How does the Panasonic EW 1211 differ from other portable devices?

Of course, there are quite a lot of mobile devices of this type on the market today. The Panasonic EW 1211 portable irrigator has one important advantage in comparison with models from other manufacturers. To date, this is the only such device equipped with an air compressor. This element of the irrigator is designed to fill the stream of water supplied into the oral cavity with air bubbles. Thanks to the presence of a compressor, a “jacuzzi” effect occurs. That is, the gums are massaged even more effectively.

Prices

The irrigator is not a cheap device. Its cost in pharmacies and specialized stores varies from 4,600 to 7,000 rubles.

equipment and price of the oral irrigator

Its average price compared at various points of sale is presented in this table:

Where can I buyPrice, rub.)

StopCaries.ru, St. Petersburg4700
DoctorSlon.ru, Moscow5200
Medtechnika store, Moscow5700

Some users note the high price of the EW 1211 model as its significant drawback. But considering all the advantages of the device, it is justified.

Irrigator Panasonic EW 1211: instructions for use

A brief guide to using this device, of course, also comes with it. Cleaning your mouth with the Panasonic EW 1211 is very easy. It turns on and off with one button. The latter is located on the front panel of the case at the top. This device has only three operating modes. They can also be switched with one button. It is located on the front panel of the device handle at the bottom.

irrigator panasonic dentacare handy ew 1211

It is also very easy to connect the Panasonic EW 1211 oral irrigator to the charger. To do this, you just need to place the device on top of it. The fact that the irrigator has started charging will be indicated by a lit red indicator. The light does not change to green upon completion of the process. Owners of the device should keep this in mind.

Changing the nozzles on the irrigator is also extremely easy. They are inserted onto the nozzle until they click slightly. To remove the attachment, you just need to press the small button on the back of the device. Judging by consumer reviews, the device attachments last a very long time. The only thing is that sometimes they can get clogged.

Attachments for the Panasonic EW 1211 irrigator, intended for other family members, can be purchased separately if desired. If any of them gets clogged, you will most likely have to throw it out. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to clean the nozzle of an irrigator, for example, with a needle.

Description

The full name of the device is the Panasonic DentaCare Handy EW 1211 oral irrigator. This is a development of a corporation from Japan, Matsushita Electric Co., distinguished by the production of high-quality and reliable electrical equipment. Now this device is produced in 2 countries: Japan and Thailand.

A brief description of the irrigator is given in the following video:

The main principle of its operation is the supply of liquid (rinse aid or water) under pressure into the mouth through a nozzle. The jet easily penetrates into the most difficult to reach areas and cleans them.

Indicated for use for:

  • cleaning incorrectly located, crowded teeth, deep periodontal pockets:
  • complete care of orthodontic products;
  • prevention of gum and periodontal diseases;
  • strengthening teeth due to the effect on the gums;
  • eliminate bad breath.

We will talk about the features of using tea tree oil for teeth whitening in our next review. And here you can read reviews about the use of ultrasonic brushes.

Its technical characteristics allow it to be used both at home and on the road. It combines the convenience, power of a stationary device and portable size at the same time.

Modes

The Panasonic EW 1211 irrigator can operate in three modes:

  1. Jet. This is the strongest mode without microbubbles. It is used mainly to knock out pieces of food from the cracks between the teeth.
  2. Normal air in. This is a medium mode with microbubbles, usually used to rinse the space between the teeth and clean the gums. The water pressure created by the device operating in Normal Air also makes it possible to massage the latter well.
  3. Soft Air in. This is the softest operating mode of the device. It is used mainly for delicate gum massage.

User reviews

Below are some customer reviews. If you have something to say, leave your feedback in the comments below the article, it will be useful to our readers.

This is my second year wearing braces and I carefully monitor the condition of my teeth, so I took the purchase of an irrigator with all responsibility.

After studying the characteristics and consulting with the dentist, I chose one of the new models of portable irrigators.

I liked the Panasonic EW 1211A for its build quality and the presence of three water supply modes.

To clean the bracket system, I use a jet of air microbubbles. It cleans the structure without damaging it, and also gently massages the gums.

Model EW 1211A is a good option for those who are using an irrigator for the first time. The device is easy to use and does not require additional skills.

It cleans really well, but the volume of the water tank is so small that you have to add liquid 3 times during one procedure.

The battery charge lasts for 10 days of regular use. The jet pressure is good if you clean the oral cavity in the Jet mode, the other modes are rather weak for me.

I have known the Panasonic brand for a long time and trust it. It is for this reason that I chose the EW 1211A irrigator.

I have been using the device for two months and during this time there have been noticeable changes: my gums no longer bleed, tartar has begun to dissolve and the unpleasant odor has disappeared.

The irrigator is quite compact and can even fit into a cosmetic bag.

There is one minus: during the procedure it is necessary to add water, since one volume of the reservoir is not enough to fully clean the oral cavity.

Before purchasing the Panasonic EW 1211A, I used a stationary irrigator, but because of its bulkiness, I decided to change to a portable one.

It does an excellent job of cleaning; toothpicks and flosses are not needed after irrigation.

Advantages: powerful jet pressure, contactless charging, mode with air bubbles for gum massage, as well as the compactness of the device and ergonomic design.

Disadvantages: only two nozzles included, small volume of water container, overpriced.

Features of application

Immediately after purchase, the Panasonic EW 1211 irrigator must be charged for 15 hours. Otherwise the device will not work. You should start cleaning your mouth using this device with the softest setting. Even in this case, a stream of water is supplied from the device into the oral cavity under quite high pressure. Out of habit, after several cleanings, the device owner’s gums may begin to bleed. In this case, you should not stop using the device. After a few days, the gums will “get used to” the massage. In another week, the owner of the device will be able to switch to medium mode. The last, strongest Jet is usually only used by people with bridges.

Press the button located at the bottom of the device until the green indicator next to the name of the desired mode lights up.

Product care

Important! To keep hydrofloss in working condition for many years, you should follow a few basic rules for caring for the product:

  1. Do not immerse the main unit of the irrigator in water for a long time.
  2. Do not wash the device in hot water whose temperature exceeds 50 degrees.
  3. Pour out the liquid remaining inside the water tank.
  4. Use a soft, dry cloth and non-abrasive detergent to clean the device.
  5. Charge the device overnight.

Special oral fluids may cause cracks in the main unit or water reservoir.

When using such rinses, you should rinse the unit after the procedure.

What advantages does the irrigator have, according to the manufacturer?

Sellers selling Panasonic EW 1211 devices list their advantages as:

  • effective removal of bacteria in the oral cavity;
  • cleaning even in places where the brush bristles cannot penetrate;
  • improvement of the condition of the gums during periodontitis and periodontal disease;
  • possibility of preventing gingivitis;
  • Possibility of effective cleaning around braces.

Rules of care

The length of its service depends on how well the device is cared for. To make this period as long as possible, the following rules must be observed:

  1. Upon completion of the procedure, the reservoir and nozzles should be rinsed and dried thoroughly. Important: the device itself cannot be washed with running water or immersed in it.
  2. Do not wash or rinse the attachments with boiling water. High temperatures will cause them to deform. A temperature not exceeding 50 °C is considered optimal.
  3. Store only in disassembled form, separating all attachments from the body.
  4. During storage, it is important to avoid overheating and falling.
  5. All dirt from the case is removed first with a damp sponge, and then wiped dry with a napkin or soft cloth.
  6. It is not recommended to leave the device uncharged for a long time or to allow its battery to become completely discharged.
  7. It is unacceptable to use the device with attachments from other models.

Positive consumer reviews

The Panasonic Dentacare EW 1211 irrigator appeared on the domestic market relatively recently. Therefore, there are not too many reviews about it yet. But, of course, people have already begun to express their opinions about this device. According to many owners of the Panasonic EW 1211, it is a quite good device for cleaning the oral cavity.

Despite the fact that this device is not produced in Japan itself, but in Thailand, its build quality, according to many consumers, is quite decent. Judging by the reviews, this device also does not drag your hand when cleaning. Many people who have problems with gums and use Panasonic EW 1211 irrigators, according to them, began to visit the dentist much less often.

In addition to the efficiency of operation and good build quality, many consumers attribute its rather attractive design to the advantages of this device. In any case, this device will not look out of place even in a very beautifully decorated bathroom.

Design features

The EW 1211 model from Panasonic compares favorably with similar brands. Its design features allow us to classify the device as premium.

features of the Panasonic EW 1211 irrigator

The main distinguishing indicator is the simultaneous presence of 2 pumps:

  • The first (water) provides the supply and pressure of the supplied liquid, and in its design does not differ from other models.
  • The second (air) activates its work if desired by the consumer. When 2 pumps are turned on, the stream of water supplied by the device is enriched with oxygen, at the same time the gums are massaged, and the quality of dental treatment is significantly improved.

At the same time, the air supply force can be adjusted. This is possible thanks to 2 modes: normal and soft, which allows you to use the device after installing an implant or performing other complex dental procedures.

In addition to this feature, the irrigator of this model has other distinctive characteristics:

  1. Despite its reduced size, its power is not inferior to its standard counterparts .
  2. The battery is charged by induction (non-contact) method , which allows you to conveniently install the device at the required distance from the charger.
  3. Very light - its weight is only 300 g (without water).
  4. The water tank holds 130 ml . This volume is quite enough to perform 1 dental treatment.
  5. It is possible to control the pressure of the supplied liquid : its maximum value is 590 kPa.

The irrigator is designed so that there are no additional wires, tubes or containers that interfere with its use. The water container itself is located in the block body.

Irrigator Panasonic EW 1211: negative reviews

According to most consumers, the Panasonic EW 1211 does not have too many disadvantages. However, it still has disadvantages. For example, many buyers don’t really like the fact that the indicator color of this device does not change to green when charging. Because of this, it is very difficult to determine the time when the device should be disconnected from the network. At its strongest charge, this irrigator, according to many consumers, produces too powerful jets.

Panasonic EW 1211 devices also have one more indirect drawback. The fact is that shipments delivered to Russia may contain defective products.

Some consumers also attribute the disadvantages of Panasonic EW 1211 irrigators to their rather high cost. The price of such a device, depending on the supplier, can be 4,500-8,000 thousand rubles.

Review of the Panasonic EW1611 irrigator

Text and photos - Sergei Tyncu

People, accustomed to the fact that irrigators have become an integral part of their daily life, have long been waiting for the appearance of this device on the market. Panasonic irrigators have a strong reputation as reliable, high-quality devices that fully comply with all the latest trends in technological progress and the requirements of a health-conscious audience. But at the same time, the Panasonic line of irrigators for years included several travel devices for every taste and budget, and only one model was missing. Until now, for some reason, the niche of stationary irrigators has been unconquered.

And now Panasonic has finally presented the next flagship that meets the highest standards of the brand - the stationary irrigator EW1611 - snow-white like a smiling dream liner in the vastness of your bathroom. Simplicity and convenience are the main features of the new product, which has already become a leader in the stationary irrigator market.

The very first thing that catches your eye when you take this irrigator out of the box is its compact size. And this despite the fact that the tank volume is 600 ml - quite standard figures for stationary irrigators. Let's be honest, the bathroom is, in most cases, a space where we constantly lack free space. Modern manufacturers of hygiene and health products offer such a wide, ever-growing range of different products that it can fill any space.

In the minds of most, a stationary irrigator is something bulky, with the irregularity of its shape breaking out of the monotonous picture of familiar home comfort. According to surveys by the UK's largest retail chain, more than three-quarters of shoppers confuse stationary irrigators with food processors at first glance. Panasonic EW1611 the situation is completely different - a neat cylindrical shape in a calm white color. I could not find a single stationary irrigator that would take up less space than this model. Its size is really a clear plus.

The second feature that immediately attracts attention is the fundamental rejection of marketing gimmicks in favor of real functionality. It is no secret that in our time, many manufacturers of irrigators, in an effort to promote the product on the market, equip their devices with capabilities that are frankly unnecessary for the buyer, to the detriment of real quality. The most common tricks in this field are things like the number of attachments included and the number of operating modes of the irrigator. The trick is that, as a rule, the operating modes are not very different from each other, and the functionality of the attachments is frankly far-fetched, and the buyer usually does not need more than one attachment.

Panasonic, as befits a leader, rose above these small tricks and focused on the main thing. There are only two identical nozzles in the set and actually one operating mode, but at the same time it works with an incredibly flexible ten-stage water pressure control system. Some dealers of this model present this system to the buyer as 10 operating modes. Here it’s more convenient for you to perceive it. The essence of the pressure control system is the incredible flexibility of adjusting the pressure from a very delicate 392 kPa to a very powerful 647 kPa.

What gives you the opportunity for such regulation? Firstly, depending on your state of health and general well-being, your teeth and gums at different times need different pressure forces, in accordance with the comfortable conditions of hygiene procedures. Secondly, it is understood that any irrigator in the house is a device for the whole family. And, of course, children, for example, or older people are unlikely to use the same pressure that a steak-loving adult man in his prime requires. Flexibility for the whole family.

I would like to draw your attention to how conveniently the water pressure in this irrigator is regulated. Traditionally, in stationary appliances of this format, the manufacturer installs rotary knobs-switches like those that control the temperature in kitchen stoves. This is not always convenient during hygiene procedures, since it requires turning movements of at least two fingers. And by working with such a switch, you can disrupt the stability of the irrigator, especially when its reservoir is not completely filled and it vibrates when turned on in operating mode.

Panasonic has provided for this moment and the pressure is adjusted by pressing a button on top. This way you can use just one finger and, applying force from top to bottom, you will not disturb the stability of the irrigator. These are, of course, little things and details, but it is precisely these things that make up the comfort of use, even on a subconscious level.

One of the most important technical parameters of any irrigator is the frequency of pulsation of water in the flow directed into the oral cavity. Panasonic EW1611 produces leading indicators in this parameter - as much as 1900 pulses per minute. At the time of the model’s release, I was unable to find any other stationary irrigator on our market with such performance.

Why is pulsation frequency so important for hygiene procedures? The fact is that a uniform flow without pulsation simply cannot wash away fragments of dirt from the teeth. It is the pulsating jet filled with micro-bubbles that has the most effective effect on the surface of the teeth and interdental spaces. In order to achieve this result, Panasonic used a unique patented ultrasonic micro-bubble technology implemented in the EW1611 model. In my opinion, from the point of view of cleaning the oral cavity, this is the most effective irrigator on our market today.

In addition to performance characteristics, one cannot ignore such an important thing as comfort of placement and use. The developers have thought through every nuance. Starting with a convenient handle, which, thanks to the magnetic fastening, itself “sticks” to the body, and you don’t need to randomly (often sleepily) poke it, trying to get into certain grooves, and right up to a convenient stand for attachments that can be stored in vertical position, always remaining at hand.

The design is so well thought out that the housing has cutouts for directing the power cord both to the left and to the right relative to the front of the irrigator. Place the device in any part of the bathroom and do not have any problems with ridiculously protruding cords, as is the case with devices from other manufacturers.

It is also impossible not to note such important things as operating volume and vibration. For people who deal with stationary irrigators, it is no secret that they all make some kind of noise and vibrate somehow. And these are not at all the factors that bring pleasure during hygiene procedures. I remember my first stationary irrigator (I won’t name the brand) worked with such vibrations that it eventually loosened the screws that secured the shelf on which it stood to the wall. It’s good that I noticed this in time and she didn’t fall to the floor, dragging the irrigator along with the endless jars and tubes from her wife’s arsenal. And its noise was capable of giving the cat a heart attack. The poor animal hid in the far corner of the apartment every time I turned on the irrigator.

Subjectively, the Panasonic EW1611 has the most acceptable performance in terms of noise and vibration parameters. Compared to many other irrigators that work like a washing machine in spin mode, Panasonic is very quiet and its vibrations do not cause any inconvenience.

Well, and, of course, a mega-important point that is characteristic of Panasonic irrigators of all models, including the EW1611, is a two-year warranty. There is nothing worse than buying some kind of device, and then being “left with nothing” if it breaks outside the warranty. Nowadays, the market is overflowing with irrigators, for which there is no warranty information. There are also irrigators in stores with a 1-year warranty. But 2 years, as in the case of Panasonic, is truly a royal gift, allowing you to use the device with complete confidence in the future. However, it is necessary to take into account that the warranty only applies to official Panasonic supplies to Russia, and therefore, before purchasing, make sure that you have an official dealer who provides you with a 2-year warranty from Panasonic. In Russia, this is the company StaiNo, which sells Panasonic through its own online store eGigiena.ru, as well as stores of its partners throughout the country.

Summing up, I would like to conclude this review by stating the fact that Panasonic once again managed to release a successful model, which took into account the shortcomings of competing products and took a step towards greater comfort for a client who is not indifferent to the beauty and health of their teeth. And no one expected anything else, given Panasonic’s impeccable reputation and scale.

Dentist reviews

Not only consumers have a good opinion about these devices. Panasonic EW 1211 irrigators are also praised by dentists. Often, people with gum problems first learn about these devices from a doctor. After all, an irrigator can really save patients from many problems with their gums.

The Panasonic EW 1211 model removes food residues from the oral cavity really effectively. At the same time, the jet gushing from the device removes dental plaque almost 100%. That is why in most cases doctors advise their patients to buy this irrigator.

Indications and contraindications

Like every device, the Panasonic 1211 irrigator has a list of recommendations in which situations the device is allowed to be used and in which it is unacceptable.

The device is indicated in the following cases:

  • areas of difficult accessibility in the mouth - present in almost every person. Dental problems such as crowding and misalignment of teeth, wisdom teeth located outside the dentition, deep pathological pockets in the gums - all this can be easily cleaned with the help of an irrigator;
  • orthodontic fixed structures – in children, as well as in some adults, fixed devices are often found that straighten teeth;
  • orthopedic means to replace lost teeth - bridges, implants, crowns;
  • diseased gums – various periodontal problems, such as bleeding, gum recession, periodontal pockets;
  • after implantation surgery - soft tissues need gentle care after implant treatment;
  • getting rid of halitosis - thorough removal of food debris, as well as plaque, reduces the growth of colonies of pathogenic microorganisms that cause an unpleasant odor;
  • prevention – a clean mouth reduces the likelihood of problems with the health of teeth and gums.

The list of contraindications is small, but they exist:

  • acute form of disease - in case of exacerbation of diseases of the oral cavity, such as gingivitis and periodontitis, temporary use of an irrigator is not recommended;
  • continuous bleeding – if after 14 days of using the device the bleeding from the gums does not stop. In such a situation, you need to consult a dentist;
  • early childhood - use in young children is allowed only under the supervision of parents; a child is allowed to use the irrigator independently for irrigation when he already knows how to handle electrical appliances.

Are there any contraindications for use?

Almost all people can use Panasonic EW 1211 devices. There are no contraindications to their use. The only thing is that you cannot use irrigators, including Panasonic EW 1211, in the postoperative period or in the presence of any very serious diseases of the oral cavity.

irrigator panasonic dentacare handy ew 1211 reviews

If you have braces, doctors recommend using Panasonic EW 1211 irrigators in combination with a toothbrush. You can also purchase a special attachment for this device in the store, intended for cleaning specifically orthodontic structures.

What attachments are included?

The kit includes two standard color-coded attachments .
They thoroughly clean the areas between the teeth from plaque and food debris and also massage the gums well .

Suitable for cleaning corrective appliances and dentures.

Nozzles need to be changed once every 3 months.

If you have a special sterilizer , you need to purchase new attachments every 6 months .

Remember! If the device is used incorrectly, the nozzles may become clogged.

To prevent this from happening, the Panasonic EW 1211A must be filled with water purified from impurities , without adding tooth powders or pastes to it.

Guarantee

The Panasonic EW 1211 irrigator has thus earned good consumer reviews and can be considered a fairly high-quality device. The Japanese manufacturer provides a 2-year warranty on these devices. The buyer fills out the coupon in the store. This should definitely be done. Otherwise, if it breaks down, you will have to pay quite a large sum for repairs. Of course, you shouldn’t throw away the box either. It may happen that the device is defective. In this case, the supplier will most likely replace it.

This device is supplied in a waterproof case. However, of course, you shouldn’t deliberately lower it, for example, into a filled bathtub. In this case, the device can easily break. The warranty card separately states that free repair of the device in case of water ingress is not carried out.

Instructions for use

The irrigator should be used in accordance with the instructions supplied with it:

  1. Preparing the device for operation begins with installing the nozzle on it. It is inserted into the recess intended for it and turned until it clicks.
  2. If the irrigator has never been used before, before the first procedure you need to perform a test run: pour in water, turn on the irrigator and pass the liquid through the nozzle until the reservoir dries up.
  3. To treat the mouth, warm (up to 40°C) clean water is poured into the container. The manufacturer allows the use of rinse aids instead of water. But in this case, the device must only operate in the “Soft air in” mode, otherwise the rinse aid used will foam.
  4. The “Cleaning” mode is set after filling the container with water.
  5. Point the device nozzle at the distant tooth and press the “Start” button.
  6. Rules for cleansing: open your mouth wide; bend over any container (basin, sink), into which the liquid used will then flow.
  7. If at the end of the procedure there is water left in the reservoir, the device does not turn off until the liquid is completely used up.
  8. After cleaning, turn off the device. Then the nozzle is disconnected from it (by turning it in the opposite direction), and the device itself is dried.
